SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed regarding the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support place created for intervention experiences a large influx of likely sassa status beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with status sassa the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
